Wellesley is a very desirable, affluent community along the banks of the Charles River. This picturesque community boasts a highly regarded public school system, a thriving downtown with boutique shops and restaurants, easy commuting distance to Boston, and top-rated hospital, a town beach, and several small colleges, including Wellesley College, Babson College, and Massachusetts Bay Community College.

Wellesley offers easy access to Routes 9, 16, 135, 128 (I-95), and the Mass Pike. There are three Commuter Rail stations taking travelers into Boston’s Back Bay and Station Station. Commute times to Boston range from 35-45 minutes.

Summer evenings finds residents strolling over to the Town Hall Green to enjoy free concerts. Residents are proud of their local arts and cultural opportunities, such as the Wellesley Free Library, the Davis Museum and Cultural Center, and the Wellesley Players (one of New England’s oldest community theatre groups).

Wellesley residents have many options for enjoying the outdoors, including Hunnewell Arboretum and Elm Bank Horticulture Center. There are also walking/hiking trails in Centennial Reservation, Mass Bay Community College, and Maugus Hill.

Places of worship in town include the First Congregation Church of Wellesley Hills, Sisters of Charity, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, St. Paul's Catholic Church, Temple Beth Elohim (Reform Judaism), Unitarian Church of Wellesley Hills, Wellesley Congregational Church, and Wellesley Monthly Meeting of Friends (Quaker).
